I believe teaching is a novel profession which gives us an opportunity to be a part of the nation-building process. A process, in which you indulge so much where you tap your feet with your students to make them highly skilled, ready to adapt challenges from micro & macro environments and to exhibit a great character.

Value creation activities enable students to upgrade their knowledge-base and lead them to have the vision to perform to the best of their capability in the real world.

“Learning is a continuous process of life while adapting the new things as per the market demand, is the key to survival”. Also, maintaining character along with domain-specific knowledge takes you up on new heights and gives new horizons”. Keep watching the market and upgrading the course curriculum as per the market requirements.

The basic principle of my teaching philosophy is to focus on students and the market. What kind of skill sets are demanded by the market? How can you inculcate these market centric skill sets into students?  Training students to lead the market trends? How to make them market ready? How to make students drive the business world through classroom activities? How to push them to be an expert of their domain? How to keep motivating and engaging the student community to solve the corporate world problems? Reviewing the gaps and making changes for the excellent learning experience.

Based on this philosophy, I keep preparing, practicing and reviewing the course contents and pedagogy for a great experience of the teaching for students.

I have done my Ph.D. in the domain of data mining based network security solution from the Computer Science and Engineering Department of Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology, Patiala, Punjab, India. I have done my Master of Software Engineering (M. E.) from the same department. During my M.E. (Software), I have worked in the domain of Grid computing security entitled “Vulnerability analysis of Alchemi .Net based Grid-middleware” I am also Master of Business Administrator, and Master of Computer Sc. Done from Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra, Haryana, India and from Maharishi Dayanand University, Rohtak, Haryana, India respectively. Before that, I have done my Bachelor in computer science from Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra, Haryana, India.

I am having 12 yrs + experience in teaching and serving as an assistant professor at LM Thapar School of Management, Thapar Institute of engineering technology since 2008. I have developed and delivered more than 20 subjects viz. Big data analytics for Managers, Business Applications of Cloud Computing, Health Informatics, Information security & digital forensic, Digital Marketing, Information Systems Security Management, Modeling in Excel, IT Infrastructure Management, IT Project Management, Business Intelligence, Data and information security, Information systems analysis and design. IT infrastructure management, Network design & security, Networking Essentials, Essentials of Management, e-business, Marketing Management, Internet, Intranet & Web-enablement. DBMS, Information system for Manager, Management Information system, Management Information for Business.

I also served Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology for 8 years as system analyst cum programmer from Feb 2000 to July 2008). Where I have conducted many summer workshops to make people skilled in the domain of information technology.

“Life is a beautiful journey and we have to complete it with  smile”.
