Biography

Dr. Arunesh Garg currently serves as Professor (Marketing) and Associate Dean (Student Affairs & Sustainability) at LM Thapar School of Management, Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology. He brings over two decades of diverse experience across academia, research, and industry, with domain expertise in marketing, services management, and sustainability.

Dr. Garg holds a Ph.D. in Marketing from Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, an MBA in Marketing from Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana, and a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology. He has also qualified the UGC-NET in Management.

His research interests span marketing, corporate social responsibility, sustainability, and services management, with a particular focus on higher education and technology-enabled services. Dr. Garg has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals, contributed to edited volumes, and developed case studies featured by reputed publishers such as Ivey Publishing and The Case Centre. His work has been presented at premier academic platforms including the Academy of Management (AOM), European Academy of Management (EURAM), and The European Higher Education Society (EAIR), and is indexed in leading databases such as Scopus, Web of Science, and Google Scholar.

In addition to his research and teaching roles, Dr. Garg has held several academic leadership positions, including responsibilities as Chair, Associate Dean, and Assistant Dean across portfolios such as student affairs, sustainability, accreditations, rankings, and international collaborations. He has also served as a resource person for faculty development programs and academic workshops.

Dr. Garg’s global exposure includes participation in international conferences, academic collaborations, and accreditation-related visits to more than ten countries, including the USA, UK, Germany, Japan, Australia, and Malaysia, underscoring his deep engagement with the global higher education ecosystem.
