Biography

Dr. Saurabh Mittal is Assistant Professor in the Marketing Management Area at the LM Thapar School of Management. He has received his doctoral degree from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Lucknow with a thesis on customer mindfulness and its applicability in the services industry. Dr. Mittal has worked for nearly ten years in different capacities and with companies such as Infosys, ICICI Bank, State Bank of India, and an MSME manufacturing unit dealing in chemicals. Working in these different organizations has equipped him with rich and diverse industrial experience.

He has taught courses like B2B Marketing, Sales and Distribution Management, Consumer Behavior, and International Marketing to MBA and BE-MBA students. His current research interests lie in consumer behavior with a focus on customer mindfulness, sustainability, and consumer well-being. He is equally keen on working on interdisciplinary research areas.

Dr. Saurabh Mittal believes that student managers should strive to understand the basic concepts that will help them address the problems they may encounter as professionals. Further, they should develop the art of thinking beyond the obvious. Also, given an opportunity, they should look forward to giving it back to society and developing solutions that benefit society.
