Biography

Dr. Manjot Singh Bhatia is an Associate Professor in Operations, Supply Chain and Information Systems at the LM Thapar School of Management, Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology (TIET), India.

Dr. Manjot earned his Doctorate from Indian Institute of Management Lucknow. He also holds a Master of Applied Science (Industrial Engineering) from Concordia University, Canada, and a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons.) in Mechanical Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani (BITS)

Dr. Manjot’s research spans across emerging areas such as closed-loop supply chain, Blockchain technology and implementation of digital technologies. He has published in leading international journals such as Industrial Marketing Management, International Journal of Production Research, Production Planning and Control, Business Strategy and the Environment, and several others

Before Joining TIET, Dr. Manjot taught at leading International Universities such as Coventry University, UK and O P Jindal Global University, India

His teaching portfolio includes MBA and PhD-level courses on Operations and Supply Chain, Industry 4.0, Quantitative techniques, Business analytics, etc.

Prior to joining academia, Dr. Manjot worked for a couple of years in industry in Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited, one of the largest engineering and manufacturing companies in India
